Gundermann (2018)

Almost 30 years - well over a generation after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the GDR - the time has finally come (!) To approach the other German state in a complex and ambivalent way. All too often, the confrontation with the GDR, its goals and its abuses has so far been characterized by a purely Western view - such as in "The Lives of Others" or Ostalgie comedies in the style of "Sonnenallee" or "Good Bye, Lenin!".
