Wackersdorf (2018)

The Upper Palatinate district Schwandorf suffers in the early 1980s under a structural change. After the decline of the lignite industry, the district has the highest unemployment rate in Germany. One solution could be the planned nuclear reprocessing plant (WWA) in Wackersdorf. The project promises secure jobs, an improved infrastructure. First of all, District Administrator Hans Schuierer (Johannes Zeiler) is enthusiastic about the idea.
