daughter, Jasmine, in the Shwapnopuri village. Since Jasmine committed suicide, which is not accepted in Islam, Kafil faces opposition from a mosque imam and the village`s influential rich man when he plans to hold her funeral there. In the end, he resorts to digging her grave by himself in the Khas land by the river and holds a funeral attended only by one other person, a 10-year-old boy named Sujan. Amidst the tragedy, Kafil Mia begins his search for hope and strength even though he still can`t accept his only daughter`s death.
