Hallmark's new Road to Christmas movie, starring Chad Michael Murray, was also filmed in the very same Canadian community. The story follows producers Maggie and Danny, as they travel to a small town in the countryside of Vermont and work together to fix a special seasonal television program gone wrong.
Both of these new movies are just a few of the features the network has filmed in Canada. Christmas Cookies (2016), Debbie Macomber's Mrs. Miracle (2009), and When Calls the Heart's many holiday programs have also been made nearby. And we can't forget the quaint little British Columbia bed and breakfast, Rowena's Inn on the River, Hallmark has used in five of their films.
If you're feeling a bit of wanderlust or want to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year somewhere special, head to Maple Ridge to check out one of the many fun festivities hosted by the community in November and December. They even have a Christmas festival and a parade with Santa following Thanksgiving. Happy travels!
