At age twelve, Zain (Zain Al Rafeea) carries a number of responsibilities: it is he who takes care of his brothers in the tenement where he lives with his parents, who are always absent thanks to the work in a marcearia. When her eleven-year-old sister is forced to marry an older man, the boy becomes extremely angry and decides to leave the family. He lives in the streets with the refugees and other children who, unlike him, did not get there on their own.
