The Island (2018)

On the very edge of Maine is a small island, cut off by water from the outside world. The inhabitants lived in peace, they got on a ferry to the city to buy food and provide themselves with everything they needed. Crossing worked steadily until certain events. The locals successfully fished and earned good money. People did not complain about their detachment, the mobile communication service was working on the island and at any moment you could get to the mainland. So they did not feel abandoned and forgotten by civilization. The state promoted active prosperity of this picturesque place, supported and assisted in sending the catch for sale. Everything was too good until mysterious and inexplicable events began to occur.
Trouble began with an unexpected disconnection of telephone service. To call relatives and friends now there is no way. Following the ferry stopped to stay and then the islanders are very worried. Stocks dried up, it's time to sound the alarm and take some action. The situation worsened when random women and men began to disappear without a trace.
