The Little Stranger (2018)

The plot takes place in 1948 in the English province. The focus is on the history of the rural doctor Faraday (Donal Gleeson), close to the family of the impoverished aristocrats of the Ayrs who own the dilapidated 18th century mansion of Handred's Hall, where his mother-servant once worked. While Faraday is trying to get the hands of a young Caroline (Ruth Wilson), a series of sinister and tragic events take place in the ruined noble nest - the family of Ayrs begins to be haunted by a mysterious ghost.
